I cannot elaborate on the scores I gave above, they are self explanatory

Mr Tai listened to what I was saying about my condition and gave some very good advice, which made me feel valued and understood. He fully understood my decision at the end of the telephone consultation and the plan was agreed by both of us to be the best at this time. I felt that at the end of the conversation that I was able to discuss the subject without feeling pressurised to do something that was not necessary in my care and wellbeing. The balance between doctor and patient was equal in the decision reached.

Mr Tai replaced my right hip six weeks ago and I can honestly say he has given me my life back. Having had pain in my groin and hip since I had my son 27 years ago but with unbearable pain for the last two years, not being able to sleep, struggling with day to day life and being on pain killers to not taking any pain relief and being able to walk without crutches within three weeks. All the staff, from arriving at reception, getting me ready for the operation, the anaesthetists, theatre staff, recovery staff and ward staff were amazing. Mr Tie and his team reassured me as I was very anxious. Mr Tie came to see me the day after my operation and said I was doing well. The scar is clean and neat. All in all, I feel much happier and back to my old self. Looking forward to 2022 and being able to go for long walks and bike rides and returning to work. Thank you so much Mr Tai. I highly recommend Mr Tai and would not be afraid if I need my left hip replaced in the future.

I had a right sided Total Hip Replacement (THR) in 2014, unfortunately by late 2020 this had failed and the shaft was floating loose inside my femur. I was referred by my GP and subsequently saw Mr Stephen Tai at the Lister Hospital in July 2021. He was very patient and discussed my condition and his concerns of a possible infection inside the femur which had resulted in the THR failure and the ongoing damage to my femur at the top and inside as the loose shaft impacted on the bone. He had arranged for me to have crutches to reduce the likelihood of fracturing my femur and an urgent aspiration of my femur to identify any possible infection. This procedure was undertaken under General Anaesthesia at the Lister Hospital in August 2012 and I was advised an few weeks later that there fortunately was no infection inside the femur and he was arranging a urgent 'Revision' (THR). True to his word a revision operation was arranged at the Lister Hospital in September 2021, and with profuse apologies from Mr Tai was sadly cancelled on the day, but with assurances it would be rearranged as soon as possible and again true to his word on the 7th October 2021 my revision hip operation took place at the Lister Hospital. I had been warned that a revision THR was more complicated and painful than the original hip replacement, much to my delight my first visitor on the Friday morning was Mr Tai, who assisted me out of bed and assessed my ability to move my right leg to walk (with a little support) but also to be able to get back onto the bed AND raise my operated right leg on the bed. Mr Tai had done such an excellent procedure, I was allowed home that afternoon, so spent less than 24 hours in the hospital. Support through my GP for nursing to check on the incision and physio has again been second to none and today a review of my hip surgery with Mr Tai at the QE2 Clinic. Again Mr Tai took the trouble to show me the before and after X-Rays explaining in detail what he had done and reassuring that I was making good progress ready to return to full time working in January 2022. Thank You Mt Stephen Tai and team
